Matt Hiers is a product of Rock Hill School District 3 where he was a two sport athlete as well as an Eagle Scout. He then went on to attend The Citadel, graduating as a cadet officer, member of the Class of 2001 Board of Directors, the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll. After graduation, Matt moved back to Rock Hill where he eventually started his family with his wife Ashley, their daughter Madison and foster daughter Angel, both of whom are enrolled in their sophomore years of college.
Currently, Matt serves as the Facilities Manager and on the IT team with Williams & Fudge Inc. in Rock Hill. He also works for OTS Media/WRHI as a football broadcaster on Friday Nights, producer of Winthrop Basketball games, co produces The Storyteller's Gospel Music Show, and produces The Gardener's Bench. Matt Hiers is also the creator, producer, and co host of Carolina Crimes Podcast.
Matt also stays busy fulfilling his passion of serving his community, especially in our Rock Hill Schools and with students from around the state of South Carolina. Below is a list of his volunteer efforts to help support our community.
